Northamptonshire

Ashton (near Roade)

First we need to note that there are two parishes with the name Ashton in Northamptonshire. The other one is near Oundle, this one is south of Roade, and close to Stoke Bruerne.

This is a study of the families of the parish. All census entries (1841-1891) are recorded. Parish record entries are recorded where they match a family in the census or where several entries can be grouped into a family.

This study is now dormant.

I have recorded parish records from about 1700 to about 1900.

Full notes give the source of every fact recorded and cross checking is encouraged as early records are incomplete and a name may have been placed in the wrong family.
