Aldwark One-Place Study




The village of Aldwark near Alne, North Yorkshire and the people that lived there.

Includes Aldwark Bridge, Aldwark Manor, Aldwark School, Bay Horse Inn, St. Stephen’s Church. Also the farms on the estate once owned by Lord Walsingham, Mrs. James Gunter, and the Earl of Ancaster.

The study will focus mainly on the township of Aldwark in the historic parish of Alne but will also extend to Alne itself and two other of its townships, namely Tholthorpe and Tollerton.
