{"id":115,"date":"1876-06-10T12:00:49","date_gmt":"1876-06-10T12:00:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.oneplacestudy.org\/beddgelert\/?p=115"},"modified":"2016-11-06T22:49:08","modified_gmt":"2016-11-06T22:49:08","slug":"1876-beddgelert-wedding","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/oneplacestudy.org\/beddgelert\/archives\/115","title":{"rendered":"1876: Beddgelert Wedding"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Considerable interest was manifested at Beddgelert on Friday, the 2nd inst., on the marriage of <strong>Mr Evan <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Jones<\/span><\/strong>, who has for twelve years been master of the <strong>national school<\/strong>, to <strong>Miss Ellen <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Griffith<\/span><\/strong>, of Gwynant-street, Beddgelert. The service was conducted by the <strong>Rev. R. E. <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Priestley<\/span><\/strong>, incumbent of the parish. The bridegroom&#8217;s best man was <strong>Mr R. E. <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Williams<\/span><\/strong>, Portmadoc; <strong>Miss Jane <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Jones<\/span><\/strong> acted as bridesmaid. After the service the company drove to the <strong>Snowdon Ranger Hotel<\/strong>, where an excellent luncheon was served. On leaving and returning to the village the party was loudly cheered by the school children, who were allowed a holiday in honour of the event, and in the evening received a liberal supply of nuts and
