Also of Jane his beloved wife who died 3rd March 1965 aged 87 years.&#8221;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>administration Carlisle 1 September 1948 to Jane Armer widow<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>effects \u00a3890 14s 3d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>widow Jane continued to live at <a href=\"http:\/\/oxenholme.oneplacestudy.org\/?page_id=1322\"><strong>17 Helmside<\/strong><\/a> with son Richard and his family<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Jane died 3 March 1965<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>probate Carlisle 9 June 1965 to son Richard Graham Armer railway employee<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>effects \u00a32,584<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Robert and Jane had at least four children:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong><span style=\"color: #008000;\">Richard Graham Armer (1902\u20131995)<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong>Phoebe Armer (1903\u20131979)<\/strong> <span style=\"color: #000000;\">&#8211; died 29 August 1979 &#8211; buried at St. Mark&#8217;s Church, Natland &#8211; headstone inscribed &#8220;In loving memory of Phoebe Armer who died 29th August 1979.&#8221;<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><span style=\"color: #008000;\">Robert Eric Armer (1905\u20131980)<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><span style=\"color: #008000;\">George William Armer (1912-1943)<\/span><\/strong> &#8211; George was a schoolmaster and served in WW2 as a Sergeant Navigator\/Bomber in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, 15 Squadron and was <strong>killed in action<\/strong> on 2 March 1943. He is buried at Baarderadeel General Cemetery, Schillaard, Friesland, Netherlands and is commemorated on the Natland War Memorial and by a wall plaque inside St. Mark&#8217;s Church<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">James Armer (1850-1871)<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>born at Old Hutton, Westmorland in 1850<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>son of railway labourer <strong><span style=\"color: #008000;\">Matthew Armer (1825-1901)<\/span><\/strong> and <strong><span style=\"color: #008000;\">Mary Armer ne\u00e9 Bell (1826\u20131900)<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>cousin of <strong><span style=\"color: #008000;\">Robert John Armer (c.1875\u20131948)<\/span><\/strong> above<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>scholar aged 10 in 1861 living at Bridge End, Old Hutton<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>railway labourer aged 20 in 1871 living at Bridge End, Old Hutton<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>gatekeeper killed at Oxenholme Station<\/strong> 9 December 1871<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Can you add any information to this page?
